British 1912 Officers Sword by Fenton. WW1 period straight single fullered blade with flat back and spear point 89cm in length. The blade is decorated on one side with the crowned royal cypher for George V, and on the other with the crowned royal coat of arms. On both sides there scrolling foliate designs. On one side there is the makers name in a crest and on the other a engraved proof plus owner initials I B. Plated steel bowl guard heavily embossed with a honeysuckle ladder pattern. Fish skin wrapped grip with brass wire and embossed stepped pommel. Complete with field service knot and scabbard.

**NAPOLEONIC PENINSULAR WARS ERA** British 1796 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword With Etched Blade & Scabbard. Sn 22771 -. This is an original British 1796 Pattern Infantry Officer’s sword (see page 160 of World Swords by Withers. In his book withers states that most of these swords are found with missing quillons, & worn blades). Our excellent example has the correct shell guard with foliate decoration, one shell correctly folds for scabbard carry. It has the correct knuckle bow and ornate urn shaped pommel. The wire bound grip is excellent and retains its original quillon finial. All wire is tight and intact. It has a 31 ½” long fullered, single edged blade (37” overall). The blade is etched on both sides. The etchings are foliate & Martial panels & Crown GR (George Rex) devices. All of the etchings are crisp. Its original scabbard has brass mounts and 2 hanging rings. The throat mount has a frog locket. There are no visible maker or date marks on the sword or scabbard. The price includes UK delivery. British WW2 Second Pattern FS Knife. B2. Wilkinson. #2507004. This second pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife was made by the Wilkinson Sword Company, London, during World War Two.The 166mm double-edged blade has a raised medial ridge and tapers to a narrow spear point. The blade is 22mm wide at its base, which shows the typical triangular grind marks. There are some small spots of tarnish, mainly on one side of the blade, and faint scratches consistent with sharpening/cleaning.The knurled grip is in good condition with use related wear. The grip is 21mm in diameter at its widest and is 125mm long. The crosspiece is 3.3mm thick and is stamped with the War Department arrow and the designation “B2,” indicating that it was made by the Wilkinson Sword Company.The knife is complete with a black leather sheath. The sheath is appropriate for the FS knife, but is not the original sheath that the knife would have had. The stitching is intact and tight and the leather, while worn, remains strong. The knife sheathes and draws smoothly and is held firmly within the scabbard.This is a good example of a WW2 made and used second pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife.

WW1 1916 British WD ‘SB&N Ld’ (Sanderson Bros & Newbold Limited) 1908 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword & 1915 Dated Scabbard. Sn 13642 -. This is an original British 1908 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Troopers sword & scabbard. It has an undamaged 35" single edged blade with fuller (43" overall). The ricasso is date marked ’4/16’ (April 1916) and fitted with leather hilt washer. It also has WD arrow & SB&N manufacturer mark which is "Sanderson Bros & Newbold". The spine has ‘08’ (pattern). The bowl guard has no visible Regiment or date marks. It has a clean undamaged chequered grip with correct thumb recess. It is complete with its original steel scabbard with fixed hanging rings. Boer War Era 1890-1901 Dated British WD 1885 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword Regiment Marked ‘RA’ To The Royal Artillery. Sn 21412:1 -. The Royal Artillery colloquially known as "The Gunners", is one of two regiments that make up the artillery arm of the British Army. The Royal Regiment of Artillery comprises thirteen Regular Army regiments, the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and five Army Reserve regiments. The regiment has been involved in all major campaigns from the Napoleonic Wars to the present day. This is an excellent original, 1885 Pattern British Cavalry Troopers Sword to the Royal Artillery with Scabbard. These swords were designed during the period when the British army was continuing to argue on the merits of the ‘cut’ versus the ‘thrust’ of British cavalry blades. The hilt design features a Maltese Cross motif cut into the knuckle guard and is a distinctive feature of these swords (see pages 48 – 57 of Swords Of The British army by Robson). The Sword’s fullered 33 ¼” blade is clean. It measures 39 ¼” overall length. The blade and hilt have WD inspection marks & dates ranging from 1890-1901 (illustrated). There are no visible maker marks. The back of the blade has inspection marks. The knuckle guard has the correct Maltese cross motif which has Regiment mark ‘RA’ to the Royal Artillery and other struck out numbers. It has the correct boiled leather chequered scales in very good condition secured by the correct 5 rivets. It is complete with its steel scabbard which has 2 fixed hanging rings. The scabbard has even aged patina & some struck out unreadable numbers. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 21412:1

British Edward VII Holt & Sons London 1845 / 1854 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword With Etched Blade To The Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), Acorn Knot, Scabbard, Leather Field Combat Cover & Frog. Sn 21227 -. Formed in 1898 the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) is a specialist corps in the British Army which provides medical services to all Army personnel and their families, in war and in peace. The RAMC, the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, the Royal Army Dental Corps and Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps form the Army Medical Services. The 1845/54 pattern sword was the successor to the 1822 pattern, the main change being the folding langet of the Pattern 1822 being removed (see page 175 of World Swords by Withers). This original infantry Officer’s Pattern 1845 / 54 sword to the RAMC has a 32 ½” single edged blade with part fullers (39" overall). The blade is clean. The blade is etched on both sides with foliate panels, King’s Crown ER VII (Edward VII Rex). The ricasso has the ordnance acceptance star and inlaid roundel. The blade is signed by the maker ‘Holt & Son Sackville Street London’ together with Royal Appointment and has the etched serpent coiled around a staff badge of the RAMC (this symbol is known as the Rod of Asclepius, after the ancient Greek god of healing & medicine) and the Regiment motto ‘In arduis fidelis’ (Faithful In Adversity). The blade is fitted with original hilt washer. The voided brass bowl guard has stylised Royal Cypher ‘ER VII’ & King’s Crown in the centre. It has brass stepped round pommel with ball top. It’s fish skin grip with finger grooves & wire binding is intact. The hilt is fitted with leather cord and acorn knot. The sword is complete with its leather covered wood scabbard with German silver insert at the mouth. The scabbard is fitted with original leather frog with 2 hanging straps, buckles and brass stud. All leather and stitching of the scabbard & frog are clean & intact. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 21227
